With this gouge sharpening jig you can also sharpen woodcarving tools with complex shapes such as curved or bent carving gouges and V-tools. SVD-186 for woodturning tools You get an exact replication of both the shape and edge angle on your bowl gouges and spindle gouges, so you can be sure that the tool will behave in the same predictable way on the lathe after every sharpening. Used correctly and together with your Tormek tool sharpener, there is no alternative method that can give you faster or sharper results. The jig can be set for various lengths of the side bevel. Create your own profile "recipe" or choose one of the recommended ones from the profile selection chart in the instructions. You can also can also sharpen your turning cutters with SVD-186. The jig now fits up to 36 mm wide tools (earlier 21 mm), has an improved clamping insert, and an easy and precise click setting.
